Travel Ball Summer 2024 Stats: (Texas Sudden Impact-Coker 14U) Batting — 139 PA, 124 AB, .331 AVG, .388 OBP, .500 SLG, 41 hits, 11 doubles, 2 triples, 2 HRs and 32 RBIs; Pitching — 128.2 IP, 41 GP, 30 GS, 600 BF, 111 hits, 69 ER, 82 BBs, 162 Ks, 3.75 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and .222 BAA.

Tell us about your travel team/organization and how you became involved with them? After Coach ????? Peyton stepped away from coaching Sudden Impact at the end of the Colorado Sparkler, I searched and tryed out for nearly every super-competitive team in the region and was very lucky to be selected by Coach (Kriti) Malpass to be a part of her Texas Bombers 14U Gold team.
Tell us about your experience at Alliance Nationals this past summer? I didn’t play in the Alliance Nationals last year. Because my family was traveling to southern California for my sister’s national softball tournament and Sudden Impact didn’t travel to California, I actually picked up with Athletics Mercado Academy-Lopez 14U (now Bombers Gold 14U American) in the PGF National championships and was named to the AGL All-Tournament Team!!!!
Tell us about helping your team win a 14U title at the recent TFL Fall Championship? Coach Malpass and Coach Mark Vasquez have the whole team focused on a “team-first” mentality. We all work really hard while we are at home, so that we are ready when it is game time. It was really satisfying to see the whole team’s efforts pay off and I was happy to contribute with such a talented bunch of girls.
Which player/team has been your toughest opponent and why? We lost to Impact Gold-Jazz 14U earlier this season. Their offense is stacked and I am looking forward to playing against them again.
What have you faced/overcome in life that has made you the person you are today? As a pitcher, you always have to focus on overcoming the last pitch/last play. You have to have a short memory, not let your emotions control you and focus on the next pitch.
Do you have any family members/siblings that are athletes? My sister, Hailey Christopherson, is a sophomore at Magnolia High where she made the varsity team as a freshman. She currently plays for Athletics Mercado Academy-Odle 16U. She is also a great pitcher and has always challenged me to be the best.
I'm honored to be named Pitcher of the Tournament for the TFL Fall Championship by @AGLSoftball !
It was also great to finish the entire fall season at the top of several @thealliancefp Super 14U pitching leaderboards!
None of it would have happened without that awesome… pic.twitter.com/MtxVr6gTbf

What are you looking for in a future college? While both my parents (Steve and Kala Christopherson) are Texas Aggies, they are encouraging me to find the right school for myself. I’m just getting started in the process, but I have great grades and am interested in STEM careers. Most of the schools my sister and I are interested in are from the SEC, ACC and Ivy League, but there are also a few DII and DIII schools like Colorado School of Mines and Emory that we are very interested in because of the education and degree plans they offer.
What college camps are you planning to attend and why? I’m currently registered to attend camp at Emory, LSU and Clemson over the winter break as well as trying out for USA Softball’s 2025 High Performance Program in Hoover, AL. My sister and I are also registered for the Headfirst Showcase Camp in Washington, DC, later this summer before our trip to Colorado. I’d love to get to Duke sometime soon. I’m on a few other waiting lists and trying to work others into my schedule.
What areas are you interested in future occupations and why? Careers in STEM, Engineering, Industrial Engineering (and) Architecture.
What’s your favorite subject to study in school and why? Math, because it is easy for me.
Who is your sports hero and why? Amanda Scarborough (a formertwo-time All-American at Texas A&M and ESPN broadcaster), because she was an All-American Pitcher who went to Magnolia High and Texas A&M. I’m trying to follow in her footsteps.
What’s your favorite book to read and why? I really like the “I Survived” series (by Lauren Tarshis) because there was always something exciting happening.
What’s the best hype song and why? “All of the Lights” by Kanye West (feat. Rihanna and Kid Cudi). It’s upbeat and confident.
What’s your favorite TV show to binge and why? “Young Sheldon” (because it’s) funny.
What’s your favorite movie and why? “Legally Blonde.” She worked hard to achieve her goals.
Do you have a secret talent/skill? I’m good at tennis and pickleball.
